Journey to Wholeness

Last week. I was admitted to the local hospital for several days with stomach and bleeding problems. I was released Sunday. Tuesday, I went  to the Vanderbilt Emergency Room in Nashville with the same problems.  I returned home this morning (Friday).

I was seen by 8 GI doctors (it is a teaching hospital). I had several tests including endoscopes. Diagnosis: either the last doctor was wrong about my Crohns diagnoses or I’ve been healed. Praise the Lord!

The bleeding ulcers are healing and the pain is gone. I’m weaning off several medications and praising God (I can stop taking the steroids with horrible side effects).

Thank you for your prayers!!

I’m still reeling from the news.  Last month, I was told I had an incurable disease and would be on steroids the rest of my life and probably have several surgeries (possibly  an ostomy).  Now they say they don’t know what happened.

The Great Physician

The hospital doctors can’t compete with  My Great Physician. We think of comfort as a life without suffering, but tough times can help us grow spiritually. Our loving Father doesn’t always remove suffering, but He  promises He will supply  the encouragement, strength, renewed intimacy, and inner peace to get through it.

My daughter gave me a silver bracelet in the hospital that says “Be still and know that I Am God.” I will wear it always remembering the days it rubbed against  hospital bands on the same wrist as a reminder that God touched me!

When we acknowledge His sovereignty, even in times of trouble and put our attention solely on God, we can will rest in His  shadow (Psalm 91:1). Through physical trials and surgery scares, I hear the voice of my Father calling me into His loving arms for His comfort and His peace.

He loves me. He only wants the best for me. How could I ever doubt Him?

  4. Praise God! My friend Jamie sent me the link to this post. My family and I also attended For My Life this past year in April, amazing! We are blessed to live only two hours away and attend church there about once a month and on the other weeks we are close enough to Pastor Caspar to visit his fellowship. God is so good and it’s amazing what begins to happen to our minds, bodies and lives when we believe that He loves us and wants the best for us. Praying for an amazing class as you learn more of His truth and walk it out. My daughter was six when we attended FML and had an amazing time and truly understood the principles and helps my husband and I in our walk out.
